The Scream, painted by Edvard Munch in 1895, established a new record when it was sold yesterday for nearly $120,000,000 to an unidentified buyer at the Sotheby's Impressionist and Modern Art Auction in New York. The masterpiece, created as both paintings and lithographs by the Expressionist artist between 1893 and 1910, is one of the world's most recognizable works of art.
Nature is not only all that is visible to the eye... it also includes the inner pictures of the soul.
