As you may have noticed by now, the most recent ads for Marc Jacobs, featuring Miley Cyrus, look TOTALLY different to what we have been used to see from the brand for the past 15 years.
Well, there's a very logical explanation to it. After almost two decades of working with German artist and fashion photographer Juergen Teller, Jacobs decided to hire David Sims to produce the Marc Jacobs SS14 campaign. Why? The only thing we know for sure is that Teller refused to shoot Cyrus and literally made the designer choose to work with either him or the pop artist. Marc expressed to WWD that there is nothing he doesn't like about the singer, so, he made his choice.
Will this be the end of the Jacobs + Teller creative relationship? I guess that is still to be seen...
